You may choose among these classes for your character. Of course, while these are the classes, these don't do anything for your character's personality, but don't really deviate beyond reason. If your character's a Settler, don't really make them into a serial killer with a fetish for ChipMonks and Pet Shampoo. Just a normal one who hates his mom or something.
Classes can change, depending on how your character develops, but you must ask an admin before hand for approval. And, at times, one class might take on the role of another. You'll have to ask an Admin about that.
---
The Wanderer, a person who chooses to travel and live off the land instead of Settling, Marauding, or joining the Colonists. But that doesn't mean they can't come from one of those backgrounds. A Wanderer's son doesn't have to be a Wanderer, the same way that a Marauder's son doesn't have to be a Marauder.
Of course, they are the most versatile of the classes, able to know any number of skills (within reason) and to be able to handle almost any weapon they get their hands on, along with knowing most back roads and routes, though these skills are limited to their backgrounds. Like how a Wanderer from a Settler Background won't have access to the Colonist's Satellite Surveillance or advanced weaponry.
Beware, for many a Wanderer have a silver tongue, and with such a tongue, are excellent barterers, able to trade up items or trade multiple items in a trade for something of more importance (like that .44 Magnum ammo you've been holding on to for that shiny new AK).
Wanderers can also work/ally themselves with a certain faction or a certain settlement (or all the settlements on the continent), as a trader or an emissary. They don't care, as long as they get to get out of the town walls.
As a psychological quirk, some Wanderers might have claustrophobia, and become Wanderers in order to get out of the "confining laws of society" or some shit like that. What do I look like, a therapist?
